PheWw~! At last, I'm free from exam. Despite the fact that I still have 5 more semesters to struggle thru, I chose to enjoy my one-month holiday lying just ahead of me. HOLIDAYS a word that simply bring happiness to everyone even just thinking about it. Happy holidays everyone~!
Even though I'm so excited about my holiday but yet I know I'll miss my college life as well for this one whole month. I'll miss the time where the whole bunch of 'ji mui' stuck in the library for the whole day crazily 'K'ing book and preparing for the finals.. time where I accidentally fell asleep in Qian Hui's room and she kindly let me sleep on her bed where as she slept on the floor. ( MuaCks~! ).. Time where me and my roommate ( Cherng Wen ) calling each other 'roommate' for fun.. I'm glad that I found this bunch of buddies in U. The orientation week was a bitter start but it's because of the bitterness that makes the happiness after that even sweeter.
It has been dream to enter U. Although it turned out to be quite different with what I’ve been imagining, still as I've always said "It's not the place or the event that matters, it's the people who are there with us that really matters." Really can't wait for the whole new semester to start. Gang-gang sekalian, we'll 'piah' til we graduate with our best honour. Inshah Arrah~! *Blink*

Going to Penang lo~! I'll be back with more details about the trip. Pray hard that God of Rain has mercy on us. Please don't %(*-*) % too often during my vacation k? Hehe~!
[To be continued]

We reached Penang around 9. First time of me stepping into Penang at night and the scenery was amazing. Penang is just simply a romantic Island to live on I guess. So, I must make sure that my 10 years plan of getting married to Penang shall really go well starting from now on. Hehe~!
L's dad picked us up at the bus station and PS was telling me that how much L and his dad look alike before I got to see L's dad in person which made me even more eager to meet L's dad than before.
After being picked up at the bus station, we were brought to an open-air food court near L's house called SUPERTANKER. The food was ok but one thing that gave me headache was the time where I had to make decision when there were like more than 10 stalls in front of me and all of them were strongly releasing that "yummy" type of signal. Hence, Keh Man and I did a clever decision by letting our 'tourist guide' to make the decision for us. (",) Good choice of food by our tourist guide and food in Penang was just simply fingers licking good~!
After we had our dinner, we headed straight back to L's home. His whole family was watching TV in the living room and made me felt so homely after not been at home for more than a month. We joined them on watching TV after we took our bath. Not forgetting to reveal the eagerness of meeting L's dad before this, L simply inherited his mom's fair complexion and his dad's 'macho-ness'. It needs no DNA test to tell that he's their son. Haha.. But let's not go into details about the homozygous and heterozygous thing here. *Blink*

Late at night, we went for supper somewhere near L's house (since his stomach started complaining) before we dozed off.
It was a good start for the first day of our trip.

26/11/2005 Saturday
Woke up kind of early in the morning cause I couldn't really sleep well last night. Might because of the bed or the environment but certainly not sleepless because of uncomfortable-ness.
After getting used to the life in college and not going back home for more than one month, HOME was really something that had not been appearing in my life for quite some time. This familiar yet strange homely kind of feeling in this house really reminded me of my bed, my yellow duckling and my smiley face back at home. (",) The room was really comfortable especially in the morning because the air was really cooling and refreshing. =)
After everyone was ready, we started our first event of the day with none other than BREAKFAST~! L brought us to a food court next to a wet market. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the market cause I've never been to such a clean WET market. Thumbs up for people in Penang~!
After we had our breakfast, we went shopping at the supermarket just opposite the wet market. Keh Man was kind of panic as most of the sales girls there were speaking in Hokkien and she couldn't really catch what they were saying. Haha~! No worries larr.. 'Keh Man, just simply tell them "Eh, cheng di kah.." will do.' That's what I told her. =P
We bought some daily goods and then we headed to our next destination—hair saloon. None other than our tourist guide wanted to cut his hair. Hence, all of us went along cause I insisted so and I was hoping that we could embarrassed him while he's having his hair cut (since he told us he doesn't look good with hair clips on him during hair cuts). In the end, I didn't really do anything to embarrass him cause the hair dresser doing his hair was kind of cute. *Blink*
Done with the hair, we went back home to take our bath. Then, we went out again and this time we headed to the very famous temple in Penang-Kek Lok Si. (I hope I spelled it right. =P) We went up by feet since L parked his car at the bottom of the hill because we didn't know that we could actually drive up there. Never mind though. Climbing up the stairs helped me burnt up the some of food that I've taken in since I arrived in Penang. A little bit of exercise makes the achievement at the top of the hill a little bit more worth than it seems to be. PheWw~! It was too early to be relieved though. We thought we've already reached the peak but actually we're only climbed up half of the hill. Gosh~! No more stairs climbing for me please. =P Thus, we decided to take a ride on the cable car to the peak. I didn't recall of any cable car the last time I was here but that was like n-years ago. Hehe.. The scenery was beautiful from the top although some of the statue was still under construction. L was so overwhelmed and excited until I started to wonder whether we're the visitors or he was the one first time stepping into Penang. =) Good that everyone enjoyed and PS even bought some souvenirs for his family as we went down the hill. Keh Man and I bought souvenir for KY and QH as well.
Back at the foot of the hill, it was our lunch time. We had a try on the very famous Penang laksa. Yummy~! Time for a little dissert after that - cendol. That was the first time of me being the last one to finish up the whole big bowl of cendol (usually L is the last one to finish up food) because my stomach was so full. However, I still finished it up because it was so tasty especially the big red bean. SoOo irresistible~!
Our next station was Flag Hill, which is a direct translation from Bukit Bendera. Our timing wasn't good enough because the next cable car would only push off one hour from the time we're already there. We decided not to waste any time waiting and thought want to headed straight home. However, we eventually turned out to be at the Prangin Mall because L thought it was too early to go home. We watched a HORROR movie there. Hello~! It's a HORROR movie people~! Everyone close to me would know that I DO NOT watch horror movie other than watching with Sotong (since he's the only one who knows how to turn horror into comedy.) Man~! L was sitting next to me on my right but it was empty seats on my left. Begging L to switch place with me wasn't working out. I was so helpless. *Sob*
After the movie, Keh Man and I did some shopping but we ended up buying nothing. *Sigh* I really like the shorts but I thought it suits Keh Man more yet Keh Man thought the other way round.
It was supposed to be dinner time then but we're still more then half tank full. Thus, our tourist guide decided to bring us the old 'guan zhi jiao'. It was something like Klebang beach in Malacca. Heaven for Malay couples to hang out at but much more developed than Klebang beach of course. There was an open air food court there where people could sit down and 'lim teh'. Personally, I like the rojak very much. =)
As we're walking back to the car, I noticed that there were few children playing tiny little mini kite. It was really cute and I bought one for myself as well. Hehe.. All of them thought that I was so childish. Well.. Okay~! If they want to say so.. =P
Finally, we're back at home. Tired but syok~!

Merci poure, le triste
